You will hear your child playing songs on their guitar within the first few weeks.  It won't take months or years to see real progress. We pride ourselves on helping students achieve HUGE leaps of progress in a very short period of time. We don't just want to offer guitar lessons; we aim to bring up the next generation of musicians.

Fun Guitar Lessons
That Keep Kids Excited

Whether your child loves guitar lessons or not comes down to one thing: FUN! If lessons and playing guitar aren't fun, then nothing we do will work. That's why we've developed multiple systems designed to help kids learn guitar faster while making every lesson something they look forward to each week.

Confidence Levels Go
Through The Roof

We’ve had shy kids get on stage. Quiet kids lead songs. And kids who struggled in school suddenly light up with pride in what they can do. Guitar lessons truly have the potential to change kids' lives and give them the confidence they really need. We do everything possible to give them this result.

It's Not Just Another Activity, It’s the Highlight of the Week

We’ve had parents tell us, “My child counts down the days until guitar class.” It’s not a chore. It’s not something you have to drag them to. It’s the thing they look forward to most. Why? Because it’s fun, fast-paced, and full of wins. Every week, they walk out of class feeling proud, energized, and excited to share with you what they've learned.

"I highly recommend Dylan as a guitar teacher. He presents the material in a way that is fun and easy to understand for my 10-year-old. I see the improvement in my son's ability with each lesson. I was also impressed with the rock concert held last spring. My son was able to step out of his comfort zone and play the guitar with a band in front of a crowd. The program at Summit School of Music is rock solid!"

This is an online aid to in-person lessons. The majority of your child's progress occurs during lessons. However, it can be tougher to practice at home, so this is a way to support your practice and provide clear direction to follow.

Our goal is to go above and beyond for our students, and this is just one example of how we accomplish this. We don't just want to offer standard guitar lessons; we aim to cultivate exceptional guitar players who will continue to play for years. And we are committed to doing whatever it takes to help people get there.

We've created a private website featuring over 100 videos to help you achieve your goals more quickly. Most progress happens in lessons, but this is to help guide your practice at home.

Free for all our students.

"Summit School of Music has done a spectacular job with the guitar lessons. They are both patient and caring with each individual. I have seen my son grow at such a fast rate. He has been taking lessons for over 3 years now and loves it so much he does 2 hours every week! I highly recommend anyone to take guitar lessons at Summit School of Music."

Success Stories

Over the last 10+ years we have seen some incredible results for our guitar students. One notable example is our student, Jayden.

When Jayden started, he didn't even own a guitar. He went from that to performing on stage with a professional band in only 8 months.

Then, only 8 months later, he was playing shredding guitar solos!

Xavier started with very little to no knowledge of the guitar. But he was very eager to learn. He followed the path laid out for him, put in the work, and achieved some remarkable results!

Tucker is such a fantastic kid and student. In just 4 months, we went from knowing nothing to performing on stage with professional musicians!

Improved Focus and Discipline

Guitar lessons naturally teach kids how to concentrate, stay on task, and follow through without feeling like “work.” Studies show that guitar lessons boost attention span, memory, and self-control, giving kids valuable skills that carry over into school and life.

A Creative Outlet That’s Theirs

Guitar lessons offer kids more than just the ability to play the guitar; they provide a means for self-expression. Whether they’re feeling excited, stressed, or need a break from screens, the guitar becomes a creative outlet that’s all their own. It’s their space to explore, create, and shine.

Our kids' guitar lessons are designed to maintain high motivation by showing real, measurable progress every week. We track each student's growth step-by-step so they (and you!) can see how far they've come. Whether it's mastering a new chord or playing part of a favorite song, every milestone builds momentum and keeps them excited to keep going.

Motivation Through Measurable Progress

A Skill That Lasts a Lifetime

Guitar lessons aren’t just about today, they’re an investment in something they’ll carry forever. Long after sports seasons end or trends fade, playing guitar will still be there. It’s a lifelong skill they can turn to for creativity, stress relief, and pure enjoyment at any age.

Real Rock

Show Performances

At Summit School of Music, we host two major performances each year, which we call our Rock Shows. These aren’t recitals, they’re full-on concert experiences. We bring in professional musicians for the students to play alongside, as well as sound engineers, videographers, photographers, smoke machines, lighting systems, and more. Every detail is designed to give our students a taste of what it’s like to be on stage as a rock star. Participation is completely optional, but for students who want the thrill of performing, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Fun Prizes Your Child Can Earn By Taking Guitar Lessons

We also have a special rewards program for the students. Each month, students earn points that they can later redeem for prizes. We do this to reward students and make our guitar lessons an even better experience for the kids.
